BUFFALO BILL DAM VISITOR CENTER:

Added to the National Historic Register in 1973, the Buffalo Bill Dam was one of the first of three major dams built by the Bureau of Reclamation in the early 1900's. Open annually approximately May 1 to September 30. Hours 8:00am to 8:00pm Monday through Friday; 8:00am to 6:00pm Saturday and Sunday. Free admission.

BUFFALO BILL STATE PARK:

Surrounding the Buffalo Bill Reservoir the Buffalo Bill State Park provides easy access to fishing sites and a marina. It is located approximately six miles from the hotel. Facilities are open from April 1 to November 1 annually with limited winter access.

Cody Murals:

The magnificent Cody Mural covers a domed ceiling 36 feet in diameter and 18 feet to the top of the dome. Perfectly blended into the mural are selected historical scenes from the first seventy years of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In an adjoining part of the building, are displays and art telling the story of the colonization of the Big Horn Basin in Wyoming. No admission fee.

CODY NIGHT RODEO:

Cody is RODEO!!! This world famous PRCA sanctioned Rodeo has been performing nightly, June through September, in Cody, Wyoming since 1938. Held each evening at 8:00pm until approximately 10:00 with special events for children and adults alike. Seating is on a "first come, first serve" basis in either the general admission grandstands or the "Buzzard's Roost" over the bucking chutes. Adult & Children ticketing available. Fee applicable. OLD TRAIL TOWN, MUSEUM OF THE OLD WEST:

Old Trail Town is a unique reconstruction of more than 20 historically documented buildings of the late 1800's. The Hole in the Wall Cabin - 1883 used by Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid. The Rivers Saloon - 1888 frequented by cowboys, outlaws and gold miners alike in Meeteetse, Wyoming. Bullet holes can still be seen in the door. It is the oldest remaining saloon in Wyoming. Trail Town Cemetery - the final resting place of notables such as Jeremiah "Liver-Eat'n" Johnson, buffalo hunter Jim White, frontiersman Jack Stillwell and "Bill" Cody, Col. Cody's last living Grandson. Hours are 8am-7pm daily, May through September. Fee applicable.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK:

Yellowstone is our Nation's oldest and largest National Park. The East Entrance is located 52 miles west of Cody on US Highway 14, 16, 20. The Northeast entrance via the Chief Joseph scenic highway is 78 miles northwest of Cody. The park is open (weather permitting) from the 1st Saturday in May until the 1st Saturday in November for vehicle travel. Some construction and its related constraints may be applicable.
Cody is the only entrance community to the park with two Entrances.
